Inspired by the plains of the Rift Plateau in Africa where there is harmony between animal, plant and geological diversity, the artist Francesco Battista imagines the visual of the panoramic Rift Valley. Originally made in ink with the pointillist technique of drawing only using small hand-made dots, its motif presents a savannah landscape inhabited by the surrounding fauna and flora. Marked by the black of the Indian ink and the white of the paper, this design brings relief to these distant animal species. Published by Isidore Leroy, this panel introduces an exotic and warm note to the decors.
