Handcrafted, they are composed of a mixture of marble, cement and pigments. Everthing is cast in a compartmentalized mold to reveal the design. Then the tile is compressed and dried. The technique was born in the middle of the XIXth century in France before speading. Classic arabesques or contemporary designs, they are the guarantee of an authentic charm.

Touching cement tile is a sensation that cannot be forgotten. Its satin appearence after finishing appeals to fans because it's inimitable. It's a great alternative to natural stone. Made one by one, they are a mxiture of white marble, white cement, pigments and sand. These ingredients are poured into a compartmentalized mold to reveal the design, color after color. The tile is then compressed, dried, and kept in a humid chamber for about four weeks.

If today they are mainly made in Morocco and Vietnam, the technique was born in the middle of the XIXth century in France before spreading troughout Europe. The cement tiles recall the interior of Haussmannian buildings and the floors of parisian bistros from the Belle Epoque.

Geometric designs or characteristic arabesque, they are the pledge of an authentic charm. Today, they provide an endless playground for the designers.
